NGO can be formed either as a registered society or a trust or as a company registered u/s 25. The procedures would depend on the type of the NGO selected. In case of Society you can register the same with the Registrar of Society in the state. You need to draft Memorandum and Article of Association for the society. A trust is registered with the registrar of the district and a trust deed is prepared. A company is registered with the Registrar of Companies. You can refer books on NGO formation for complete process.
