02 August 2011 Sir,
While filing the Income Tax Returns for AY 2010-11 without entering self assessment tax wrongly filed after that it is revised after entering self assessment tax. Now the question is that whether I have to post both ie (original and revised ) or only revised is enough. Please give reply immediately.

02 August 2011 Since return is for A. Y. 2010 - 11 and revised subsequently then the original return must have been filed in time by 4th August, 2010 and so it must have been sent earlier so no need to send that again.

In case original return filed after due date revision is not possible.

So you need to send revised only if original sent earlier.

02 August 2011 I considered AY as 'assesment year' and replied accordingly.

03 August 2011 If original return was filed late the return cannot be revised.

The due date for A. Y. 2010 - 11 was 4th August 2010 and the last date of receipt of ITR V was 31st July, 2011.

So was there a mistake by me while replying above?
