22 August 2011 can you clear what is the due date for issuance of form-16A.i have learnt that the practice to earlier option to issue form-16A on annual basis has been discontinued with!

22 August 2011 w.e.f 01/04/ 2010 ,issue of Form 16A, is to be within 15 days from the due date of filing of TDS returns. The due date of filing of TDS returns is within 15 days from the end of quarter.Accordingly now form 16a has to issued quarterly.

29 August 2011 One month from the end of the quarter or 15 days from the due date of filing of TDS returns. More specifically the due dates for issue of Form 16A are as follows:-

1st quarter- April to June- 3oth Jul
II nd Quarter- July - Sep- 30th Oct
III rd Quarter - Oct- Dec- 30th Jan
IV quarter- Jan- March - 30th May
