09 June 2009 what is the last date for filling the form 15G / 15H for the year ended 31.03.09. one of my client not filed the forms 15G/15H till date in the income tax department, our income tax consultant told us that if we have not filed the such forms in time then the ITO will added back the expenditure claimed by us in p & l account.in our income. please give your valuable advise that now what we should do ?

09 June 2009 This declaration is to be furnished on or before the seventh of the month next following the month in which the declaration is furnished to him. In your case certainly you have obtained Form 15G/15H on or before 31/03/2009. You should have sent it on or before 7/4/2009. If you have not sent it then do it now. There is no question of adding back the expenditure claimed in P & L account. all the expenditure is deductible.
