28 April 2012 An importer wants to import some plactick items. Bank asked for form 15 CA AND 15 CB and ask to pay 10% as TDS. So he has to pay extra 10%. Is the bank is correct?

30 April 2012 Bank can ask for 15CA & 15CB but if the payment is made for purchases, then TDS should not be there. If the payment includes any interest or brokerage, then TDS would be restricted to the particular amount of interest / brokerage.
