Form 108 while completion of articleship

This query is : Resolved

20 July 2022 My form 108 is getting rejected by RO for non updation of completion of B.com course. While inquiring to ICAI they are suggesting to resubmit form 112 by paying Rs. 10,000 as latefee, then only my form 108 will be approved. But i already filed form 112 - other engagements form which has not been approved from RO officer for the past 3 years. What to do now?

07 July 2024 It seems like you are facing multiple challenges with the submission and approval of various forms related to your articleship and academic completion. Here’s a structured approach to address your current situation:

### Steps to Resolve the Issues:

1. **Verify Form 108 Rejection Reason**:
- Ensure you understand the exact reason why Form 108 is being rejected. If it's due to non-updation of your B.Com completion status, this needs to be rectified.

2. **Submit Corrected Form 108**:
- Update Form 108 with the correct information regarding your B.Com completion status. Ensure all details are accurate and aligned with your academic records.

3. **Address Form 112 (Other Engagements Form)**:
- Since your Form 112 (Other Engagements Form) has not been approved for the past 3 years, you need to address this issue separately.
- Contact the Regional Office (RO) of ICAI where you submitted Form 112 to inquire about the status and reasons for non-approval.
- If there are any deficiencies or additional requirements for Form 112, fulfill them promptly.

4. **Payment of Late Fee for Form 112**:
- If ICAI has advised you to resubmit Form 112 with a late fee of Rs. 10,000, evaluate the reasons for this late fee requirement.
- Ensure that you comply with the fee payment process and any other requirements specified by ICAI.

**Follow Up with ICAI RO**:
- Engage with the Regional Office of ICAI where you submitted these forms. Seek clarity on the specific steps needed to rectify the issues with Form 108 and Form 112.
- Request guidance on any additional documentation or steps required to ensure timely approval of your forms.

**Document Preparation and Accuracy**:
- Double-check all documents, including Form 108 and Form 112, for accuracy and completeness before resubmission.
- Attach any necessary supporting documents (such as academic transcripts, certificates, or proof of fee payment) to avoid delays in processing.

**Professional Guidance**:
- If needed, seek guidance from a mentor or senior colleague who has experience navigating the ICAI submission processes. They may provide valuable insights or contacts within ICAI to expedite the approval process.

### Conclusion:

Resolving issues with Form 108 and Form 112 requires systematic follow-up, accurate documentation, and compliance with ICAI guidelines. By addressing each step methodically and communicating effectively with the Regional Office, you can rectify the discrepancies and ensure that your forms are processed and approved without further delay.
