If you've accidentally submitted your income tax return without paying the tax liability, don't worry. It's possible to file without immediate payment, but you'll likely need to revise your return after paying the tax to avoid a demand notice. The system may take a few days to become fully functional for revisions, so patience is often key. If you encounter issues with revising, check your 'Returns filed' section and consider refiling if the original isn't showing.

Though its possible, its not of much use. As after the payment, its advisable to revise the return, otherwise usually demand is raised. It helps to file return during final days, to save penalty. For your information, if any tax liability arises; before submission of the ITR, there exists two options. 1. PAY now (recommended) 2. Pay Later.... One can bypass the payment and proceed for verification...... & ... final submission.
