foreign investment

This query is : Resolved

06 May 2011 one foreign party wants to invest in a trust in India . I dont know the procedure for that. Please tell me what kind of procedure should taken place for this ? tell me the registration procedure if any under fema and also fcrn form.

08 May 2011 My understanding of your query is that "the foreign party wants to DONATE to a trust in India". In that case provisions of FCRA Act(recently amended) shall come into the picture .

Otherwise there is no provision of investment in a TRUST by any foreign party.

Other portions of your query can be answered only on confirmation of my understanding.
