PERSONS OF INDIAN ORIGIN HAVE GIVEN DONATIONS TO TRUSTS IN CHENNAI. WHETHER FERA applies to these donations received by the Trust.

25 February 2009 FERA has been replaced by FEMA.

Please collect FIRC from your banker and specifically the sender should mention that this is being sent towards donation.

Submit the detials of receipt to RBI alongwith copy of FIRC.

04 October 2011 Any Indian Trust cannot receive foreign donation unless it is registered under foreign Contribution Regulation Act,2010(FCRA).
