20 March 2012 when a consignment brought in to india & its contain the goods from the different suppliers, how to allocate the cost on which following expenditure is incurred?
1.clearing & forwarding cj\harges
2.loading & unlosding charges
3.paqcking material
4.freight (in india)]

22 March 2012 Best way is on the basis of amount finally paid to the supplier. Say for example you have purchased 4 items in the following manner
1. A Rs. 250
2. B Rs. 300
3. C Rs. 700
4. D Rs. 900

Your expenses on clearing and forwarding is say Rs. 968 then you have to allocate the same in the Ratio of 25:30:70:90 to the products A,B,C & D
