Dear Sir,
I want to know can we pay food coupons allowance amount in cash to our employees as we are not giving them food coupons.Can the employees claim it as an exempted allowance.

No. Only if you give coupuns then it will treated as food coupouns. If you pay cash then it will treated as part of their salary.
