first financial year and first agm of a private co.

26 October 2010 A PRIVATE CO. HAS BEEN INCORPORATED ON 04.12.2008 THEN PLEASE TELL ME TILL WHEN CAN WE HOLD OUR AGM AND THE PERIOD OF FINANCIAL YEAR AND COMPANY HAS NOT DONE ANY WORK IN THE YEAR 2008-09 AND HAS NOT FILED ANY INCOME TAX RETURN?

26 October 2010 as it is pvt.ltd it assume to start the business as soon as it received the certificate of incorporation , so first financial year will be 2008/09 and you are required to held the first Annual meeting within a calender year since it's your first agm so you may hold it within a period of 18 months not beyond that otherwise it will breech the company act provision regarding AGM
