Sir, I want start practicing Chartered Accountants firm. I want to know, can I execute partnership Deed before getting Approval of name and Constitution certificate or I should wait for getting Firm Constitution Certificate to be issued? And whether the date of Firm Constitution Certificate and the date of Partnership Deed should be same or not?

Dear Mr. Ajeet
I suggest following regarding your query as under:
Step1 : Confirm the firm name availability
at the institute website online at http://220.225.242.179/lof_name.asp. But the same is available only upto 01-04-2010.
For more latest update you can confirm the same by writing email and calling teleph. to the institute.
Step 2: once you got the firm name
availability, draft the partnership deed between the members.
Step3: Submit form 117 & 18 to the institute with partnership deed and other relevant documents.
Date of firm constitution in the certificate will be the same as mentioned in the partnership deed if you submit the documents in proper time.
