A private Limited company ABC Pvt Ltd changed the name of the company to XYZ Private Limited during the year 2011-12. This was informed to ROC and the change was recorded in the master file data. Now the audit for the financial year 2010-11 is being carried on. What will be the name of the company to be quoted on the financials for the year ended 31.03.2011.
The name change is not reflected on any other registrations apart from ROC till date.
Please advice.

Quote new name as when you prepare audit report or any financial report. then you have to mentioned current name of the company. ( i.e you suppose to be not going to prepare or sign report as on 31.03.2011 it must be after wards say in April to septemeber any date.at that time mentioned current name of your co.)
Also make application with Tax authority / all other authority for such change in name of the company, attached new certficate of incorporation with this application.
