Sir,
I am starting preparations for final gr 2 nov 2016 after a long gap.Please tell me which syllabus is more between dtl annd idtl and how much time each will take to cover.

Every person have their own speed at which they grasp things which they study and it would be inappropriate to state within what time period one is able to complete the portions. As you have time quite a few months for November 2016 examination, you should better get started from now on and try to cover the portions and give adequate time for revision and mock test in order to perform well in the examination.
The portions in Direct Tax is relatively more in comparison to indirect tax laws. It should take between one half months to two months for each subject to cover your portions thoroughly,

Thank you Sir.I am starting after a long gap.I am unable to decide how to cover service tax as I believe it is very cplicated and lengthy.

The marks allotted for service tax in Indirect paper is for 50 marks, which is very significant and substantial. You have rightly identified the area which can give you impetus in scoring good marks. Yes, the service tax portions are vast and complex but you must approach the paper in a positive mindset. Understand the concepts thoroughly and keep practising on a continuous basis, you will definitely be able to over come many of the problems that you may be facing.
