15 November 2009 can i file my ITR now and claim refund of tds on commision on insurance? if yes what will be the panelty? Can i do it online?

15 November 2009 No need to pay penalty, you can file online itself, you ca claim refund,, still march 2010 have time for filing fy2008-09

15 November 2009 for fy 2007-2008 also you can file your return and claim refund.

16 November 2009 It is to be noted that in case of F.Y. 2008-09, you can file ITR to claim refund. That ITR can be filed only upto March 2010. BUT, you'll be paid Interest on refund only from the date of filing return as it is a belated return. Had it be timely return, i.e. if had been filed before July 2009, Interest would be given from April 2009 onwards, irrespective of the date of filing return.
