12 April 2011 DEAR EXPERTS/FRIENDS

Can any please let me know that where to file return in the following case.

pan card is obtained in the city RAJkOT.Wher he born and bought up and whole family resides.
Now such person earning the income at mumbai.
In such case where i need to file retun at mumbai/rajkot??

Does it make any differance if the person is earning in the same state I.e at ahmedabad?

I am the opinin that return shuld be file at mumbai/ahmedabad as the case may be....
m i right???

And one more que that in efiling the ward is not relavant??? we did not req to enter the ward of the applicant???
is it true???

Please help me out.....

12 April 2011 Yes, you can file EReturn.
Efiling return will be perocessed by CPC, Bangalore.

12 April 2011 in case of physical filing , It should be submitted at area of your place of work,provided they accept the return.

12 April 2011 Best option is to file the return electronically
but if u r interested to get details about physical return then i think return will be accepted the place where PAN is issued i.e.Rajkot....and mumbai dept may not accept....
