Filing of Form 10BB instead of Filing Form 10B

27 November 2024 For the assessment year 2024-25, we have received a notice from CPC for not filing audit report in Form 10B as the gross receipts of the educational trust exceeded Rs 5 crore.we have mistakenly filed Form 10BB instead of filing Form 10B. We have been given 30 days to submit the reply. Can the experts kindly explain how to reply for this notice.

28 November 2024 Draft a formal letter addressed to the CPC, acknowledging the receipt of the notice. Include details such as your trust's name, PAN, and the reference number of the notice. Clearly state that there was a mistake in filing Form 10BB instead of Form 10B. Emphasize that this was an inadvertent clerical error. Submit the correct Form 10B as required. Ensure that this form is duly filled and signed by a Chartered Accountant (CA).

28 November 2024 You can file the Condonation of Delay either directly on the Income Tax Portal or by submitting a physical application (if required) to the jurisdictional Assessing Officer. Your CA can file it after filing Form 10B.
