Dear everyone,
one of our clients has insurance claim for the period 2010-11,and they have deducted tds @20% because he is not having PAN.
and the income is below taxable income.now he wanted to file the return to claim refund.how to get the refund.please assist.

First of all i want to notice you the time period to file F.Y.2010-11 return of income is expired on 31-3-2013 and with out filing of return of income you didn't get any refund from income tax.
So now you didn't have chance to get back the TDS refund amount and the client has to forget about that.
Even though to get TDS refund/adjustment first the deductor has to give credit such TDS deducted amount to the PAN of the assessee to give credit by him required the assessee has to submit the PAN to the deductor.
So the client failed in both the ways and now in any case or any way he didn't have chance to get refund of TDS deducted amount.
