I would like to know whether FIIs are person resident in India or not as per FEMA ?

08 May 2008 Dear Hari,

FII aere not residents of India as per FEMA.

They are people coming from abroad and investing in India.

The full form of FII speaks for itself , Foreign Institutional Investors.

Whether as per provisions of Sec 2(v) (iii)of FEMA will FIIs be Person resident in India ?
