20 January 2012 My client is a foreigner and plans to incorporate a co which has the following objects

1) Import of foreign liquor and selling the same locally as
a) retailer
b)wholeseller

Whether the same is permissible as per FDI Norms? if yes, what is the maximum FDI Permitted?

21 January 2012 a) for retail trade - single brand retailing permitted recently.

b) wholesale trading permitted 100% under automatic route.

23 January 2012 Refer FEMA 20/2000.
or refer latest master circular on foreign investment in India issued in july 2011.
