16 August 2007 I am a housewife here in india, i am not indian citizen , i am holding foreign passport,can you suggest me what facilities are available to PIO, and how can we make pan card, how can we make our income tax file, and e verthing that we should do for living in india.

PIO is Person of Indian Origin. PIO Card are issued upto fourth generation.

Now to Anita,

Pl fill form 49A for PAN Card and attach copy of your passport as proof of identity and address.

You can also visit nsdl.co.in open Tax Information Network Link. Go to on line services, click on PAN and you can apply on-line for PAN.
