14 August 2008 What are the consequences for export of services witout registering IEC code?

I have verified the official website of Directorate of General Foreign Trade but I am not able to get the result.

In the Website, they told no import or export are allowed without IEC Code but there is no clause about the consequences.

16 August 2008 Dear Sir,

An exporter has to compulsory register for IE CODE. (ITS NOT IEC CODE ITS Importer Exporter Code i.e.IEC).

Firstly, you are not eligible to export. When you do any direct export, your shipping bill would not be filed at customs if you do not have IEC.

Secondly, if you want to issue any EPCG Lic. for your import/indegeneous procurement you are not elibigle to it.
