ONE OF MY FRIEND IS RECEIVING REMITTANCES FROM FOREIGN COUNTRY.THE TOTAL AMOUNT RECEIVED DURING THE YEAR IS LESS THAN 20 LAKHS. IS HE REQUIRED TO GET REGISTRATION UNDER GST ?
PLEASE REPLY.

25 February 2019 Yes registration is required in this case as you are exporting services and same is possible if you have taken registration and has also taken LUT.. if LUT is not taken then you have to pay tax on export of services.. As per IGST act registration is mandatory for export of services..
