Expenses allowable against land lease rent

12 September 2011 I have given my land on lease. I am showing this income under the head "INCOME FROM OTHER SOURCES'.For collecting lease rent I have incurred salary and conveyance expenses besides some repairs on boundary wall.Can I claim these expenses against my lease rent income.

13 September 2011 If you are incurring expenses against lease rent then it should be incorporated in the lease deed and accordingly you can claim these expenses otherwise not.
