This query is : Resolved

Quick Summary
If you've claimed an exemption under Section 54 of the Income Tax Act by reinvesting proceeds from a house sale into a new property, purchasing another house is generally permissible. However, be aware that selling this newly purchased property before three years have passed could lead to implications regarding your initial exemption claim.
