Exemption under 54F

This query is : Resolved

Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies whether individuals can claim an exemption under Section 54F of the Income Tax Act when they have made long-term capital gains (LTCG) under Section 112A from selling shares. The consensus is that LTCG from shares, when reinvested in a house property within the specified timeframe, are indeed eligible for the Section 54F exemption. Therefore, individuals can claim this relief provided they meet all other conditions of Section 54F.
