21 July 2024 As a CS Professional student with an M.Com in A.B.S.T. (Advanced Business Studies and Taxation), you may be eligible for exemption from undergoing the SIP (Student Induction Programme) training requirement. Here’s how you can go about seeking this exemption:

### Process for Exemption from SIP:

1. **Eligibility Check**: Contact your respective regional office or the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) to confirm if students with a relevant master's degree (like M.Com in A.B.S.T.) are eligible for SIP exemption. This can also be checked through the official notifications or guidelines issued by ICSI.

2. **Application**: If eligible, you need to formally apply for exemption from SIP. This usually involves submitting an application to ICSI along with supporting documents, such as:
- Copies of your M.Com degree certificate and mark sheets.
- Any other documents specified by ICSI for verification.

3. **Verification and Approval**: ICSI will review your application and documents to verify your eligibility for SIP exemption. If everything is in order and you meet the criteria, they will approve your exemption.

4. **Confirmation**: Once approved, ICSI will inform you formally about your exemption from the SIP requirement.

### Important Points to Consider:
- **Timing**: Apply for SIP exemption at the earliest possible, preferably before or immediately after registering for the CS Professional programme.

- **Documentation**: Ensure all required documents are submitted correctly to avoid delays in processing your exemption request.

- **Contact ICSI**: For specific guidelines and the latest updates on SIP exemptions, directly contact ICSI through their regional offices or their official website.

### Conclusion:
Given your qualification of M.Com in A.B.S.T., you have a good chance of obtaining exemption from SIP. Follow the outlined steps, gather necessary documents, and proceed with the application process as per ICSI guidelines. This will help you focus directly on your CS Professional studies without the additional requirement of SIP training.
