Exemption applicability while conversion into direct entry.

30 December 2013 I have passed group II (IPCC) and got exemption in taxation and law in May 2013 exam but failed in group I.

As i am a graduate Student i apllied for Conversion Scheme to direct entry and started my Artcileship.

As per rule i only will be eligible to write to exam group I (IPCC) after 9 month of artticle.

In this situation, Will i get exemption in tax and law while appearing Next Exam??

Should i Appear for Group II even i have already passed in may 2013???

Please Help in this Regard.

30 December 2013 May be no. You need to contact examination for this because, IPCE guidelines as posted at https://icaiexam.icai.org/guide_ipce.php

"Extension of validity of exemption granted in a paper(s) (on the basis of securing a minimum of 60 per cent marks) by one more term in respect of students who opted to switch over to the Intermediate (Integrated Professional Competence) Course, under the Direct Entry Scheme on or before 30th September 2012.

In respect of students registered under the Professional Competence Course (PCC)/Integrated Professional Competence Course (IPCC) who, pursuant to issuance of Notification No.1-CA(7)/145/2012 dated 1st August, 2012, being eligible for direct admission to the Chartered Accountancy Course, switched over to the Intermediate (IPC) Course by 30th September, 2012 and could not appear in IPCE in November 2012 on account of such switching over, the PCE/IPCE held in November, 2012 shall not be reckoned for determining the “immediately next three following examinations” for the purpose of extending the benefit of exemption obtained in one or more papers of a Group/Unit by securing a minimum of 60 per cent marks in any of the PCE/IPCE held in May, 2011, November, 2011, and May, 2012, to such candidates.
For removal of any doubt, it is clarified that the above is applicable only to those students who
(1) were registered under PCC/IPCC prior to 1st August, 2012;
(2) have had obtained exemption by securing a minimum of 60 per cent marks in one or more papers of a group/unit in the PCE/IPCE held in May, 2011, November, 2011 and May, 2012;
(3) have, being otherwise eligible, pursuant to the aforesaid Notification dated 1st August, 2012, switched over underIntermediate (IPC) Course by 30th September, 2012. "

It is possible that they may extend it to next attempt but nothing in public yet.

02 January 2014 this above notification is for those who opted to switch on or before 30 september 2012.

But i have switch in 17 sep 2013.

SO please Nikhil sir...help me by giving solution to above issues....i am really worry about it.
