WHAT IS THE DUE DATE FOR FILING QUARTERLY RETURNS IN FORM ER3 BY A SSI UNIT.
2)WHAT IS THE PENALTY FOR LATE FILING OF ER3 AND WILL THE DEPT ISSUE SHOW CAUSE NOTICE FOR THE SAME.

Last date of filing of return will be 10th of next month of the quarter. Non-submission of return or after due date is violation of central excise rules. Hence, penalty upto Rs. 10,000/- can be imposed under rule 27 of central excise rules.
