10 July 2014 If there is trading business having excise registration in Maharashtra, and they are opening another branch at Gujarat, shall they require to take excise registration in Gujarat for trading outside Gujarat from the branch situated there??

14 July 2014 YES, EXCISE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED TO BE TAKEN PREMISES WISE. IF YOU WANT TO RAISE EXCISE INVOICE FOR PASS ON CENVAT AMOUNT FROM NEW UNIT AT GUJRAT, YOU WILL HAVE TO GET EXCISE REGISTRATION AT GUJRAT SEPRATELY.
