Excise registration and excise duty

21 September 2011 What is the limit for exemption of excise duty? Do we have such limit for registration too?
Excise Registration is mandatory for all or it is optional till a limit of turnover?

22 September 2011 upto 150 lacs excise is not applicable,
after 90 lacs the assessee has to file a declaration to department.
