why excise duty is deducted from sales ?

EXCISE DUTY IS APPLICABLE ON MANUFACTURING ACTIVITY AND IT IS CHARGED ON SALE VALUE (NOT DEDUCTED FROM SALE VALE) AT THE TIME OF REMOVE THE GOODS FROM FACTORY.
