24 November 2010 Mineral water falls under the chapter 220210 of Central Excise Tariff Act 1985. The duty rate is 10.3% after allowing 48% rebate on the MRP value. i.e if the MRP is Rs 10, Assesable value will be Rs 5.20 and duty payable is Rs 0.54.
