24 November 2012 We have a factory and depots all over india.

Last year 2011 -from Chennai depot,a material has been supplied to a customer,

Now the customer has returned this material as rejected in this year directly to my factory as my Chennai Depot has been closed.

Can i take claim for the credit. if not how can i update in my system

Its urgent.....

29 November 2012 depend upon the products. you can take the cenvat credit on that material as a input after reprocessed cleared the goods on payment of excise duty.

01 December 2012 Except ready made garment any input return to the factory premises you can avail the cenvat credit.
