Dear sir,
We had sold 100 Drum of Chemical to Mumbai (S.L Chemical) . Due to some Legal problem of
S.L.Chemical, S.L chemical is returning our 100 Drum and about to reached here after 6 Days . Now my Question is :-
1)What is rule of sales return of Excisable goods.
2) If Is it necessary to intimate Excise superintendent then what is time limit of intimation of reaching goods to our factory.

Yes,it is necessary to intimate the Superintendent of Central Excise..the treatment is simple, when you sell the goods via Excise Gate Pass you charged the excise duty from them & now the goods is returning you should reverse back the excise duty..when you sell it the amount is debited and now its return so the amount will be credited.It must also be noted that in RG 23A Part I & II you reflect the same...
