i have applied for ipcc both group for nov 2013,but now i am intending to give only group 1 ,so is it ok or i have to appear in both groups to clear the first group and if its ok then what will be the result for group 2??

Yes, you can appear for first group only. And the second group result shall be "Absent".
But my suggestion is you already decided to leave second group means you should be fail in second group so my suggestion you already paid fee for second group also so just appear for second group also then you have an experience regarding how to prepare further etc... in case if any good luck to you then there is a chance to get pass on second group also.
Anyway you can appear for only one group and second group result shall be "Absent" it doesn't effects another group.
