27 November 2010 Hi,
I wanted to Know whether ESIC is deducted on Net Salary or Gross Salary. for e.g. If My Gross Salary is Rs.11,000/- but due to absentism in a particular month i am received around Rs.8000 before deducting ESIC. So ESIC is applicable on Rs.11000/- ( Gross Salary) or Rs.8000/- (Net Salary)

27 November 2010 ESIC is deducted @1.75% on Gross Salary. if Gross Salary is less than Rs. 15000.00

01 December 2010 My dear 8000.00 is not your net salary. It is gross salary, therefore esic will be deducted on rs. 8000.00
