Error of time limit over to file ITR u/s 139(8A) though actual is not

02 January 2023 I missed filing the return for FY 2021-22 by dt.31-12-22 Now I filing a return u/s 139(8A) on dt.1-1-23 but during the validation, by uploading the JSON file the error shows that "You cannot file under section as the time limit to file under this section is over."
So, from which date I can file ITR-U section 139(8A) for FY 2021-22 or what is wrong with this error?

02 January 2023 Normally it's allowed from 1st April 23.
Contact CPC helpline they will make software correction which will allow you file updated return now.
Also submit grievances.
