05 January 2016 Yes. Rule 12 of Central Excise Rules, 2002 is also applicable to the goods manufactured and cleared under Compounded Levy Scheme.

I did a google search on this issue and found an article that ER 1 is not required but I am still not clear so I would like to bring it to your kind attention https://www.taxindiaonline.com/RC2/inside2.php3?filename=bnews_detail.php3&newsid=15373. I am unable to understand the conclusion in the above link. could you please help me on this ?

06 January 2016 this is case refrance of an asesse under compound levy scheme who did not file ER-1 RETURN,PLENTY IMPOSED Rs.5000. so it is advice you please file ER-1 Monthly Return even you are compound levy scheme.
