25 November 2014 dmat means instead of holding in physical form u can keep shareholding in electronic form and then only u can sell it but it must be in ur uncles name.

25 November 2014 To trade the shares of listed companies , your uncle must have a DMAT account with trading account. First open a DMAT account and then convert the physical shares to DMAAT form. Then and then only he can sale the shares. There and many intermediaries with whom you can open DMAT account. the intermediary with whom you will open the DMAT will guide you how to convert shares in DMAT.

26 November 2014 you have to apply with the demat company for Demat a/c then you have to take "client master " SHEET from the demat company and sent to the tata..... company with your physical share certificate for convert in the demat form.

after that you can sell the shares.
