Dear All
What is the current threshold limit of number of employees to take mandatory registration for EPF
Also is the current threshold limit of "Basic Salary+DA" for EPF deduction and deposition.
Providing some notification would be much appreciated.

Every employee who has basic salary upto Rs. 15000, then he is mandatory entitled for deduction of PF. But if the employees basic salary is more than 15000, then he may voluntarily apply for PF deduction.
However to choose weather to be the member of PF depends on initial stage of job. once you will become the member of the EPFO then it is neccessary to deduct PF.
However it is better to be the part of EPF as it would help in retirement plans. However non deducting of PF would increase in hand salary of employee but on the other hand would increase the tax burden as employee would have to pay more tax
