Can a CA pay Taxes online on behalf of its Clients by opening a seperate bank account having Internet Banking Facility in that.

1.You can, if ;
a) You have a bank account with net-banking facility, and
b) Your bank is amongst the banks that provide the e- payment facility.
The conclusion drawn is that it is possible in your case as it satisfies one of the two conditions.

Another question is that in Taxman Journal Vol. 169 (April 19 – April 25, 2008) Page 18 a Circular by ITD in its point no.
2.iv. the transaction of e-payment should be reflected in the bank’s statement.
If a CA pay Taxes on behalf of the client from his bank account then the transaction should be reflected in the CA's bank account. In this situation can a CA pay taxes on behalf of the Client?
