30 January 2009 Each state desires to safegaurd its revenue. Instead of purchasing the from the state if you bring goods from other state for certian type of goods for entry into the state the tax is collected.

The basis of claulation is on the value of the goods received a specific percentage has to be paid.

Each state is having their own entry tax. If you tell me in which state you are I can sugget the referece book.
