i had purchased some shares from my friend which are got from public issue in 1994 but the share holder is no more so how can i transfer these shares in my account which is dematted

If you are having Share certificate is in your name, you can dematerialise the same by visiting the office of depository with whom you are having DEMAT account. Its very simple, your depository will received the share certificate and send it to the company for dematerialisation.
