06 May 2012 there is no limit for donation it should be more that Rs 251 for claiming u/s 80G.

you have to pay by a/c payee cheque but not by cash or in kind.

suppose you give A COMPUTER to educational trust it will not be a donation under it act 1961.

07 May 2012 but hardik i am not asking about giving donation to educational trust but donation by educational trust.. i think 80G covers donation to educational trust..
