Whether additional depreciation is allowable to a assessee who is in the business of publication of daily newspaper.

The additional depreciation is not based on the nature of industry. It is to be allowed on the basis of user of the machinery. Generally the machines of the press for publication of news paper is used in the evening and till mid night so only one shift therefore there will not be additional depreciation but if the machines are in use for more than 2 shifts then yes it can avail additional depreciation.
