please tell me,
we neither paid excise duty exceeding Rs. 50 lac. in previous year nor in current year.
is it mendatory to pay excise duty of Rs 20 lac for the month eletronically

Yes, you have to pay excise duty electronically

Online payment of excise duty and service tax is mandatory w.e.f. 1-4-2010, if the tax/duty paid in previous year (by cash or through Cenvat credit) was more than Rs 10 lakhs.
