04 August 2015 Dear Sir,
An assesse who does not have any Aadhar Card and is going to file the income tax return ITR 1 for A.Y. 2015-16. His total income is below Rs. 5.00 Lacs and he has no refund. Whether can he authenticate the ITR 1 through Electronic Verification Code generated and sent to the registered E- Mail ID and Mobile Number of the assesse and if this process is applicable then whether there would be any problem as because he is not mentioning the Aadhar number in the return and also not linking the Aadhar number with the PAN database because he does not have Aadhar Card.

Please reply as early as you can.

05 August 2015 Aadhar number linkage is not mandatory. You may link your Aadhar number with your PAN database at later stage.You may verify your ITR by EVC or throgh internet banking thereafter, you don't need to send your ITR-V.
