Hello friendz
Can we pay electricity bill above Rs.20000 in cash???plz answer as per prov.of F.Y.2010-2011
As per my interpretation it is given that any payment to govt is covered under exceptions of this sec
now is electricity board comes under govt or govt dept???
plz answer my querry
its urgent
plz give any decided case law on it,if any

No, electricity board is not an govt. authority & expenses paid in cash above Rs 20,000.00 will disqualify.

Most Electricity Boards having been converted into corporate entities (utility / ....Nigam Ltd) Cash acceptance even for security / handling concerns is discouraged by Utility itself, e.g. NDPL / BSES in Capital of India do not accept cash for Electricity in excess of 4000/=.
